About Us

Writers Pouch is a digital art community dedicated to telling stories and poems. We express our work through various media and value originality, conciseness, and intellect in our creations. More often than not, we feature eccentric artists and tackle complex themes.

Our Story

In 2009, Writers Pouch was founded by R. S. Chintalapati, with two contributing members: Santhosh Annabattula & Sreeraj Kolora. At this point, the community created stories, poems, and essays.

In 2011, the community discontinued essay submissions and decided to share eccentric and artistic stories and poems only.

In 2012, the community welcomed its first photographer, Nikhil Narayansa, to enhance the visual imagery of our works. Following this, many talented collaborators joined the fray and significantly improved our visual outlook. A few noteworthy names include Pankaj Tottada, Ravindra Patoju, and Krishna Guttikonda, among others.

In 2016, the community published its first book titled “Loving Intern”, a group collaboration led by Nikhila Kotni. This work expanded the community’s artistic horizons and established that we could do books, too. Following this, the community published many notable books, including titles such as Modukuri’s Musings, His Past & Her Future, and Quest for Slumber, among others.

In 2017, the community transitioned from a blog to a website and began its own digital store. Since then, writerspouch.com/org has been the homepage for all our works.

In 2018, the community welcomed its first illustrator, Sravani Dhulipala, to visualise a poster for a fantasy story titled “Lavender Scar”. Following this, many talented collaborators added their own flair to our works and made imagery possible for every project, rather than just the practical ones. A few noteworthy names include Nisha Yadav, Hasita Yernati, and Renius Mercy, among others.

In 2023, the community published its first short film titled “హంతకులు” by R. S. Chintalapati. Following this, many collaborators are currently pursuing their own works in this media category.

In 2024, the community published its first picture book, titled “Lily & Butterfly” by Ekta Mishra Pathak, and its first audio story, titled “इत्तेफ़ाक” by Nidhi Pandey. Following this, many collaborators are currently pursuing their own works in these media categories.
