Utopia

Updated: Oct 18, 2023

In a world filled with actors, hypocrites, backstabbers, haters and bullies, most individuals cover their personalities more than their faces with cosmetics.

“Utopia” by Nikhila Kotni asks if there is a reality where heartbreaks aren’t painful, memories are editable, and emotions and expressions are communicable, how many of us will withhold from it rather than stay in our painful & worsening reality?

Can you imagine a world,

A world where people can reset their lives just as Phoenix rises from the ashes.

Would you reset your life after every heartbreak?

Can you imagine a world,

A world where people communicate with the healthiest minds without evil intentions or blinding denial?

Would you persuade society to stop hurting you for being you?

Can you imagine a world,

A world where memories can be edited and deleted just like a storage device?

Would you edit the agonising memories into beautiful ones without deleting them?

Can you imagine such a Utopian world,

A world where people sync their expressions with their emotions?

Would you still smile and hide the pain?
