I: Mr Jacus Giant
The city of Heru, famous for its beach, was, in its business dealings, owned by a crime boss named Jacus. The adopted son of Miran Pesu, Jacus was the second crime boss of Heru but was certainly a bigger dealer than his father. He didn’t hesitate to kill police or defy courts, unlike his father and to meet his goal, Jacus was capable of anything.
His unusual rise to power stemmed from his refusal to fight other crime bosses. He knew that would just waste men and resources and, in fact, didn’t fetch him. So he gathered them and shared different business dealings based on their family’s power and influence. His family, known as the Glorifiers, held key estates, including ammunition and clubs.
Soon, every criminal or gangster, not just in Heru but throughout the country, was only given two options: either to join Jacus’s empire or to die. Within a year, many were killed, and with every passing day, Jacus grew stronger. At the end of the first year, Jacus’s men killed Kara and his men in a crossfire, and this turned out to be a massive win for Jacus as Kara held companies that manufactured ammunition.
Though Kara’s death wasn’t intended, Jacus couldn’t help it. Seizing the opportunity, Jacus not only overtook the companies but also occupied the castle where Kara lived; he let Kara’s family leave without harming them. In the next year, five more crime bosses in different cities were killed in bomb blasts.
Along with them, four police officers who were helping these bosses were also killed. With this, the rest of the bosses bowed to Jacus, fearing for their lives. The once-adopted son, who no one even heard of beyond the city of Heru, was now known as the Giant of illegal trade. Everyone, sooner or later, started referring to him as “Jacus Giant”.
When he held so much power, the police quickly changed their tune. With an assurance of no more police killings across the country from Jacus himself, they have given complete control of Heru to Jacus for perpetuity. A move that solidified Jacus’s power in the country unlike anyone before him.
Even major government decisions were passed onto Jacus for review, and if he opposed them, they would be ratified. At the peak of his power, Jacus married his lover Emily from the city of Vincent. Her father was a crime boss in Vincent City and a firm supporter of Jacus, so he gave his consent without hesitation.
As the influence spread, many new business sectors were developed under Jacus’s control, and he had no choice but to assign them to trustworthy members. As the business grew, the family hierarchies were established, and the four families that worked closely with him were Bolts, Mins, Lasters, and Iriks.
He personally gave Bolts his clubs to manage, Mins were given resorts to manage, Lasters were given real estate dealings, and Iriks were given administrative responsibilities. Since he loved the Iriks family the most, he appointed them administrators to keep them close. They were the only family that lived in the castle, while others just met the Glorifiers when they were summoned.
Like his influence, Jacus’s family also grew, and Emila gave birth to two sons two years apart. The couple named the first son Randy and the second son George. Randy was not as good as Jacus in administration or control, but was much better than his brother. He thought as his father did when it came to diplomacy, while George thought of nothing until he finished his business.
For a span of two decades, Jacus ruled with no trouble. As his last project, he built another Castle in Spring Waters for him to retire in, and at the same time reinforced the castle they lived in and built many passages so it could withstand any attacks. Accepting his time was done, Jacus passed all of his estates to Randy alone. Everyone thought it was unfair, and some even voiced their opinion, suggesting that a few estates be given to George, but neither Randy nor George disagreed with their father’s command. Both brothers loved each other and considered themselves to be co-rulers of the estate, even when the elder held the title.
Following the tradition, Randy was titled ‘King’ after taking over the role, and he continued his father’s journey by majorly focusing on expanding their estates. Though he acted like his father in many ways, he didn’t marry someone of great value. He married a waitress named Julia from Fort Springs after they met at a cafe in Spring Waters.
The couple was blessed with two children too: the first was a daughter named Patricka Loyam, and the second was a son named Jacken Glorifier. Just like her grandfather and father, Patricka was extremely sharp in administration and in wielding power, but Jacken Glorifier, also called Glory, was a spoiled brat.
As the children grew older, Patricka started helping Randy King in administration while Glory learned to kill and instil fear. As days passed, Randy assigned George to supervise the families’ management of clubs and resorts and to transfer the full administrative responsibilities to his daughter, Patricka. George was more than happy as he hated the administration and actually preferred to control the clubs for a long time. Everything was going smoothly until Dr Adin called Randy one day and asked for a private appointment.
Upon accepting the invitation to meet, Randy was informed that Glory had got a girl pregnant and was about to become a father. Flabbergasted, Randy’s anger knew no bounds. Without listening to any advice from his family members, he banished Glory from Heru and declared he was no longer a part of the family. Without any argument, Glory walked away, and though Patrica and George were disappointed with the way Glory was treated, they dared not talk to Randy about reconsidering his decision.
At first, Patricka thought Glory would eventually contact her for help, but he never did. Time passed by, and he was nowhere to be seen. She hated that he never even wrote her a letter, and that she could never contact him by any means. All her sources ever said was that he was nowhere to be found.
As the days passed, club profits gradually decreased. Seeing the fall, George started paying surprise visits. As clubs were managed by Bolts, there was one named Kris’s club, managed by Brin. Brin is the only son of Michael Bolt, who was the head of the whole Bolt’s family. George was furious with the way Bolts was managing the business, and, to top it off, the bartender did not serve him properly. George immediately rushed towards the bill counter and complained about the incident, expecting a response. Brin was sitting at the counter, responding, saying, “Get the fuck out!”
Without even thinking for a minute, George dragged him out of the counter and made him kneel. He stared at him and shouted, “Do you know who you are talking to? Do you know?” and shot him on the forehead with his revolver. From that very day, Michael Bolt never attended any call from Randy. He separated all his clubs from Randy’s rule and, as a result, got the attention of others. Three days later, just when Patricka was almost ready with her plan to attack Bolts, her grandfather, Jacus Giant, passed away. Though the plan was ready, she had to wait until the funeral events were done.
The next day, when Patricka wanted to attack, the Castle gates were dashed off, and twenty-five cars arrived before the castle. From every car emerged four men carrying AK47’s. As soon as they got down, they started firing without any orders. Patricka heard the sound of a gun firing and walked towards her father’s chambers. When she reached his room, she found Randy lying on the ground dead. All that she could find was blood oozing out of his mouth, and there was no sort of body injury. In the room, she could see a broken teacup beside Randy and a maid lying on the floor to the other side of the table, shot down by a sniper who came driving through a big open window that was to the right of the table where her father usually sits. Just when Patricka started to observe the whole scenario, the door on the ground floor was blasted, and gunfire echoed through the whole building. Bishops held Patricka and pushed her out to a secret staircase. When they reached down, they could see Michael Bolt walking into the castle.
II: Ms Patricka Loyam
Invasion was the last thing Patricka ever expected. Apart from anything else, she never expected Michael Bolt to be so capable. She had many questions and was sure that Michael Bolt had someone supporting him. She walked along with her six bishops to the Sirn bar, which was one of the loyal clubs owned privately by her boyfriend, apart from the rest, which were managed by George.
As soon as she entered, the bartender greeted her and gave her a room to enquire about any injuries. Her guards suggested they leave the city by the next morning, as they presumed a hunting party would be set out to find them. As they reflected on their advice, tears began to flow. For her, nothing was left; she did not know where to go, nor did she believe that Springs Waters was still safe. She walked straight to her room and slammed the door without replying to the suggestion.
Three guards stood at the entrance, along with six gunmen who guarded the club. Two were on the rooftop, and the last one was guarding the room. After weeping for some time, Patricka fell asleep. Two gunshots woke her up. She opened the door, and the guard who was guarding her room was still in his position. From the window, both of them could see guns firing at the entrance. Patricka pulled her gun out, and all of a sudden, the bartender who welcomed her pulled out his gun and shot down the guard who was with her. Patricka shot the bartender, giving him no time to point towards her.
Finally, none of the guards was left with her, and in the mix, the pub’s front door was being broken down. Patricka held her gun tight and chanted prayers, presuming that it would be her last few minutes. All of a sudden, she heard someone saying “Incoming” in a shrill voice. Soon, she was relieved and started breathing heavily. She could tell from the voice that it was Snake, the bar manager and her boyfriend.
The door finally broke, and Snake walked in with four of his men. As soon as he saw Patricka, he hugged her. One of Snake’s guards whispered that they had caught the sniper. Snake, in his feminine voice, said that it’s time Patricka avenged her guard’s killer. Before the bar in the free space, Snake’s guards made the sniper kneel. Snake passed his handgun to Patricka, and she furiously walked towards him and pointed it at his forehead. Just before she was about to shoot the sniper, he said, “You are just playing half of the game you should. Your bro…”
Patricka became more furious and shot him before he completed the sentence. Snake asked everyone to pack up before any other search party of Bolt’s came for them. Patricka could see that none of the gunmen Snake had brought was his men, but she was so overwhelmed by her thoughts that she did not bother to find out why. Snake and his men, along with Patricka, travelled to Royal Fort in Spring Waters. Pesu guards who managed the property were expecting Patricka the night before. As soon as she arrived, Patricka was welcomed and was shown her personal room.
The next day, the city of Heru was set ablaze. Every gangster set himself free from the clutches of Randy’s rule, and no one even cared for Bolt’s order as they were just a family. Even the other three trusted families separated and took whatever estate they had power over. Everywhere in the city, people were killed by gangsters in a display of supremacy. The police commissioner ordered the killing of any gangster to control the situation. Even then, before ten gangsters were killed, twenty policemen were buried as they were a common enemy. Unable to control the situation, the commissioner called Michael Bolt to set up a meeting and get all the gangsters to reach an agreement. Michael Bolt wanted to follow Giant’s policy but in a different way. So, as requested, he called a summit.
Michael Bolt requested that every person who worked for Giant attend. As requested, most gangsters attended, though some opposed Bolt.
It was like a roundtable summit where Michael Bolt began by saying he had three rules he wished to propose to gain control among all those who have starved for power. The first rule is that “Every gangster is his own king”. Secondly, he said, “Everyone should overthrow Giant’s family.” Speaking of how his son was killed even though he served the family for twenty years, Michael made a very good impact. The third rule was “Every gangster should pay five per cent of his profit to the Castle” He also stated that it was just for ammunition supply.
Liking every proposal, most of the gangsters supported him. As days passed by, Michael Bolt started overtaking every property of Randy’s. Patricka started hating Michael Bolt more than ever for ruining everything. She wanted to kill him, but she was waiting for a good opportunity. A month passed, and Snake came to Patricka, saying they finally had a chance to organise a meeting with Michael Bolt. She wanted nothing more than this and asked Snake to plan it in such a way that Michael Bolt wouldn’t go back home. When asked for the reason behind the meeting, Snake revealed that Michael Bolt was trying to spearhead gangsters in Springs.
Two days from then, the meeting was finally set. Snake, along with four other gangsters from Spring Waters, assembled. To their surprise, they could only see two guards following Michael. As soon as he arrived, Michael Bolt said: “Gentlemen, I have asked to set up this meeting to ask you all a favour.”
Before he continued, the door opened, and Patricka walked in with a gun in her hand. She stared at Michael Bolt furiously and walked towards him, put her gun straight in his mouth and shot thrice. Snake and the other gangsters shot the bodyguards. As soon as Patricka shot Michael Bolt, she got a call. She answered the phone, and the voice from the other end was firm. He said, “Hey there! Please do me a favour. Walk out of that building, or else you will regret it.”
Blindly, she followed the lead and whispered to Snake to stay behind.
The voice continued, “My name is Man Walker, the guy who is behind Michael, as you expected.”
Patricka stopped at the revelation, and she was almost away from the building, and to her shock, the room in which the meeting was held was blasted. While she was about to go back to find out about Snake, Man Walker shouted, “Patricka! We have a sniper pointing at you. I would not be foolish if I were you.”
Patricka asked, “What do you want?” and he replied, “I want your brother Jacken Glorifier!”
III: Mr Miran Pesu
Long before Jacus Giant inherited power, there was his father, Miran Pesu, who owned a pretty good number of estates. Miran Pesu, like everyone, had two sides. One side was a businessman; the other was an illegal trader. Miran Pesu knew how unexpected his son Paris’s life would become, living in daily tension if he inherited his illegal estates.
Wishing him a peaceful life, Miran Pesu adopted a boy named Jacus and wanted to pass his illegal estates to him. Paris was very good with Jacus, even though he was adopted. Both of them were involved in both legal and illegal business, and sometimes Jacus spoke of his plans to improve his father’s estates if he was given the chance. Jacus’ ideas impressed Paris, making it more interested in illegal estates. Though he knew his father would never pass those estates to him, Paris had his own plan and decided never to let go of the powerful estates where money could be easily earned.
Finally, the day came when Miran passed his estates, and as expected, he passed all of his legal estates to Paris and the illegal trading to Jacus. After being given the share, Paris travelled to Spring Waters and met Kara, his beloved cousin. Paris funded him to set up an ammunition supply centre, which Jacus planned to establish in Heru as his first step, and both reached an agreement. Later, with a mutual friend, Paris invested in “Chain clubs”, which would serve as his beverage distribution centres.
Everything was going well until one day when Paris was called by his father to meet him. When he reached his father, Miran confronted him about his actions. He shouted, “I know how people plot, and I am very unhappy when my own family members are plotting against one another.” Miran ordered his son to stop before it was too late.
When asked to stop, Paris asked his father to return the trading business to him or, if not, to make Jacus his assistant. Miran, without a second thought, said, “Once given, it can’t be taken back. So if you want it, you would have to earn it, and Jacus, for not even a second, would be your assistant, and he has earned what he has been given.”
From that day on, Paris was never seen by Heru again. Time passed by, and Miran fell ill, and during his last few moments, Miran asked his adopted son Jacus, as a last wish, never to touch the chain clubs and ammunition supply in the city. Jacus never understood why his father ordered him not to, but he agreed with him. After Miran’s death, Jacus, with the power Miran had passed to him, gave the gangsters only two options, and most of them ended up serving him; eventually, he was called Jacus Giant, a title that reflected his control. However, in his journey to control all of Heru, Jacus ordered his men to wipe out all who were against him. He, however, warned them not to touch Kara and Chain Clubs, but in the anarchy, Kara was killed.
After leaving Heru, Paris settled in Vincent City. He was informed of Kara’s death, and his anger knew no bounds. Though he wanted to fight, he could not as he had just married and was about to become a father. After some time, he also learned that the chain clubs had been captured. Controlling his anger, Paris waited to strike back, and if there was one thing he loved about his father, it was his two sides, where one side never knew about the other, and that was how he kept everything secret from his family.
Years passed, and Randy was given the rule; Paris was now completely independent, as he had also passed his estates to his son, Darin. Now Paris is set to complete the last mission, one he planned all these years, ever since he walked out of Heru. He named himself Man Walker and returned to seek what was rightfully his. To Man Walker’s advantage, Jacus, who killed Kara, took over his Castle, where everyone was loyal to Paris, and the major advantage was that one of the four families which served Jacus was completely under his control.
Going back to Heru, he initially got Michael’s son drugged, which made the boy very uncomfortable, causing him to curse anyone at that moment. To that mix, Paris made the bartender provoke George, and that is where the conflict started when George shot Michael’s son. After Michael’s son’s death, Paris reached Michael and offered him support to take revenge against Randy King by giving him one hundred men to attack. He ordered “Iriks”, the most trusted family among the four pillars, to kill everyone in the castle and wanted them to open the doors for his men to arrive inside.
Knowing the fact that Castle had many secret passages constructed by Jacus Giant in his last stages of life, which were now known only to Randy King, Paris met Jessica, who was still working as a maid in that very castle ever since Kara ruled it and asked her to kill Randy King by giving him poisoned tea so that no tactics would be unveiled to anyone else. He promised her that she would be both safe and rich if she accomplished her job.
Though planned well, the attack inside the castle, where Iriks actually had to kill the others, started five minutes beforehand. To Paris’s success, Jessica visited Randy King and poisoned him to death. However, he could not thank or repay her as she was shot by a sniper. Later, his men, who wanted to enter the castle, were left with no other option but to blast the door.
Finally, Man Walker rejoiced with happiness seeing Michael Bolt walk into the Castle. His phone rang at that moment, and on answering, Man Walker heard a firm voice saying, “I promise you on my father’s grave. I will come for you!”
IV: Ms Natasha
Everything seems pleased until something pops out all of a sudden that wasn’t expected. Jacken Glorifier, son of Randy King, was perhaps the only family member who enjoyed it more than any other. Best known for his relationships, Glory one day met a girl named Natasha who lived in Vincent. Both of them went on a road trip and spent a night at her home.
The next morning, Glory woke up early and walked around the bungalow to take a look at it. It was huge and was more or less the same as the Castle. Glory peeped into all the rooms until, in one room, he saw his photo attached to a cardboard.
He was amazed to see himself, so he walked in to take a closer look and saw red threads attached to all his family photos. Uniquely, two threads were drawn from the blue, one connected to his father and the other to his sister. Glory walked back to his room, woke Natasha, and asked her father’s name. She said she was the granddaughter of Paris and the successor of the Paris Foundation. Glory now understood that his family was being targeted by his grandfather, Paris, whom his father had once mentioned to him. Natasha asked him why he was asking for such details early in the morning. Glory did not respond. He knew he had to inform his father, as they all assumed Uncle Paris had left Heru and was really living a peaceful, happy life.
Glory asked Natasha, who had just lain back on the bed, “Who is guarding your family?” Natasha was now curious. She dated many boys in the past, but none of them bothered her as much as this one. She asked him why he wanted to know that. He looked sternly and asked again; this time, she answered, “Family of Iriks.” Glory was taken aback because that family was the most trusted among the four. He understood that if he revealed the plan, then Paris would order an immediate strike, resulting in everyone’s death. Wanting to safeguard his family, Glory first wanted to build muscle against Paris in Vincent, and so he called Doctor Adkin and asked him to lie to his father that he made a girl pregnant. That lie made him come out of Castle, and it also made Paris take him off his chart; henceforth, he was no longer a member of the game.
Now Glory asked Uncle George to be his eyes for him in the Castle and explained everything to him. Upon learning that his grandmother Emila was from Vincent Glory, he visited her home. At her home, he learned that his grandmother had a brother named Francis. Glory asked for his help, as both of them were opposed to Paris. Francis never liked Paris, as he never respected it or kept the agreements they had made there, so he helped Glory in return for supremacy over Vincent. Francis was part of a large base named Ace, so he had many men at his disposal.
While Paris plotted against his family, Glory planned to destroy Paris’s bases, which contained ammunition.
Later, Glory set up a meeting with the family heads of Mins and Lasters and revealed to them that Iriks would kill everyone in Castle, asked them to start the fight before Iriks did, and asked them to stop Bolts from entering. Glory called his uncle George and asked him to come to Vincent with Point Black’s Bishops to fight against Paris, and assured him that he would take care of conditions in the castle.
That very night, Glory travelled to Heru, and George reached Vincent. The next morning, while the Bolts’ cars dashed the gates, Mins and Lasters started killing every Iriks before they could attack. That gun firing made Patricka walk back to her father’s room. Meanwhile, Glory walked to the Clock Tower, which was near the castle, and that is where an exact shot to Randy King’s room was available. However, Glory failed to save his father, Randy King, as Jessica had already poisoned him by arriving a few minutes early. Unable to control his anger, Glory shot Jessica.
Shortly, Glory saw Patricka coming inside King’s cabin and called her Bishop’s who were guarding her to take her down the secret staircase.
While he walked down the Clock Tower, he called Paris (Man Walker) and promised on his father’s grave to take revenge.
In the meantime, George pooled all the resources with Francis in Vincent and started attacking different base stations of Paris. In just a week, George and Francis wiped up two bases by surprise attacks. The taste of victory is sweeter for George, and so, before completing the planning, George, against the advice of Francis, attacked the third base.
Without having Francis to support him, George was ambushed by Darin’s (Paris’s son) men. Darin, without a second thought, killed George by chopping off his head.
Glory had to return, though his work wasn’t completed. He knew his sister would go to Sin Bar seeking Snake’s help, who, as the name suggests, is indeed a person. It is a fact that Snake was using his sister to become the King himself. So Glory hired a sniper to kill Snake, and he travelled back to Vincent. The sniper hired was caught by Snake’s men after the fight between Snake and Michael’s men outside Sin Bar.
Snake makes Patricka shoot him before he reveals why he was sent and by whom.
That evening, when Glory reaches Vincent, he asks Francis to send a suicide bomber to the Royal Hotel, and when Darin is ordering the waiter, he blasts himself, killing Darin. Meanwhile, Glory ordered Grey Bishops to go to the castle and wait for the command.
The next day, when Snake organises a meeting with Michael Bolt, Paris, wanting to kill him, sends only two men with him. Later, Paris calls Patricka and blasts the whole room.
Losing his son the previous day, Paris asks Patricka about her brother wanting to kill him.
V: Mr Jacken Glorifier
A car approached the spot where Patricka was standing, and she was picked up after Paris (Man Walker) finished talking. They took her to Castle, and on her way, Patricka was thinking about who Man Walker could be and why he asked about her brother. While she was thinking the car arrived at Castle, and as she walked in, the red dot appeared again.
Guards who accompanied Patricka demanded that she sit, and, after many months, when she looked at the Castle, she could see wooden walls on either side that weren’t there earlier. While she was busy watching the changes, a thin old man walked in. He sat opposite her and looked at her keenly. He smiled as he recalled his brother Jacus.
He looked at the guards who were standing behind him and thought of asking where his usual guards were, but first of all, he wanted to talk to Patricka, and so he said, “So you must be wondering who I am? I am your grandfather’s brother. My name is Paris, and I am also known as Man Walker. Anyway, I don’t think knowing me matters anymore.”
Patrick knew full well that he was Man Walker, but now found out that his name was Paris. However, she still did not understand why Paris was against her family. She was about to ask; however, Paris said, “Your brother is a real killer gun. He killed my son in his own restaurant by sending a suicide bomber. I saw no need to kill you both until he did that. However, I changed my mind. Let him come, and I will end all of this mess,” and now Patricka understood why Paris wanted her brother.
While Paris sat silently, his granddaughter got down the stairs from the first floor. Paris stood up to ask what she was doing in the castle. Meanwhile, Natasha signalled the guard who was behind him, and he immediately pulled his shotgun and shot Paris. While her grandfather bled Natasha walked towards him saying “Not long ago I came to you asking to accept my marriage with Eric Lockhunt a.k.a Snake but you said he was a cheat and promised to kill him if I ever raised his topic again and that very day I have decided to snatch your whole game however I lost my father because of your stupid mistake of not caring your base stations. I am sorry, Grandpa, but it is finally time I complete the game I was ordered to.”
Just before his last moments, Paris smiled in pain and said, “Don’t be in the Castle and don’t underestimate them.”
Saying so, he looked at Patricka.
Natasha knelt before her dying grandfather while Patricka started to understand what Paris had just said. All of a sudden, she heard a shrill voice which she recognised as being Snake saying to Paris, “Eric Lockhunt? It has been many years since Natasha called me by my name. How did you ever think I would die in a bomb blast? You fool! It was me who blasted the whole place after Patricka left and Natasha made you think it was your explosion.”
After hearing him, Paris, for one last time, said “Get out of...” and before he completed, Snake walked near him and shot him on the forehead. He then turned to Patricka and said, “You and your brother think you are too smart. Let him come, and I shall end everything all at once”
Patricka now understood why Paris frequently said not to stay in the castle. For the first time since she entered, Patricka keenly saw the wooden walls to her left and right, with small holes in them. So she immediately shouted, “Bishops now!” and fell to the ground. From the wooden holes, bullets popped out, and all the guards who were standing were killed.
The sniper who was pointing to Loyam all along shot Natasha on her feet, and Snake, who heard Loyam shouting, immediately fell down along with her. Later, after Natasha was shot, the shooter also shot Snake on his leg.
While the shooting was taking place, ten cars came in from the front gate, and Glory, along with his men, got down. Glory’s men killed many guards who were protecting the Castle while Glory walked in. Snake saw Glory walking in and started pleading, “Glory, my brothers and I would always be of use to you, and I have a lot...”
Before Snake completed his sentence, Glory shot six bullets into him.
Natasha screamed, seeing Glory kill Snake, and her voice echoed throughout the entire Castle. Glory, after killing Snake, walked towards Natasha and whispered, “Just because you are beautiful, it doesn’t mean I don’t know what you are saying or planning. Don’t ever think even for a minute that this castle is in your possession.”
Saying this, he slit her throat.
Glory stood up, and Patricka slapped him right away for not letting her know anything, and after a minute, she hugged him. Glory smiled and said, “I thought you would never know I sent the Point Blacks at last; luckily, you got to know about them. I am more than happy for that.”
Patricka knew there were two sets of bishops, one of which numbered six and was called “square shots,” and that they had previously been her guards. Others were nine in number and called “point blanks”; they guarded Randy King alone. Glory continued, “Before the castle was attacked, I asked Uncle George to bring the Point Blanks with him to Vincent.
