These Terms of Use (“Terms”) outline the rules that govern your access to and use of the Writers Pouch website (accessible at https://www.writerspouch.com/ and https://www.writerspouch.org/), our digital content, products, and any related features or functionalities (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Using Our Platform
 

  1. Who Can Use the Platform: You must be at least 18 years old or of legal age in your jurisdiction to use our Platform. If you are under 18, please do not use Writers Pouch.
     

  2. Acceptable Use: You agree to use Writers Pouch only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. We are committed to data minimisation and do not require user accounts to browse or read our free stories and poems.
     

  3. You agree not to use our Platform to:
    - Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
    - Transmit any harmful or malicious code, such as viruses or worms.
    - Harass, abuse, or defame others.
    - Interfere with the operation of our Platform.
    - Collect or track others’ personal information without their consent.

2. Our Services


Writers Pouch offers a curated literary platform that showcases creative writing, supports authors, and delivers quality digital publications. Our services include:
 

  1. Informational & Literary Content: We publish works including but not limited to short stories, poetry, prose, essays, opinions, non-fiction, novelettes, and novellas, as well as articles on various writing topics—from brainstorming ideas to crafting compelling prose—and previews of our complete works. Access to open content and previews requires no account registration or tracking.
     

  2. Editorial Pipeline: Every accepted submission undergoes a structured production process. Writers Pouch funds and assigns at least one reviewer, editor, and visualizer (illustrator or photographer) to refine, polish, and present selected works.
     

  3. Anthologies & Ebooks: Selected submissions and curated works are compiled into digital anthologies and standalone ebooks available for purchase on our Platform. Ebook sales directly support our platform operations, publishing costs, and contributors.

3. Content Accuracy

​

We strive to ensure that educational and informational content on our Platform is accurate and up-to-date. However, we do not guarantee that all material, articles, or resources are complete, error-free, or current. Published fiction, poetry, essays, and opinion pieces represent the personal artistic expression and views of their respective creators and do not reflect factual representations or official positions of Writers Pouch.

4. Respecting Ownership & Intellectual Property

  1. Our Platform & Branding: The Writers Pouch logo, website design, graphics, custom features, and compiled publications (such as our edited anthologies and ebooks) are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform materials without our express written consent.
     

  2. Author Copyright & License: Authors and contributors retain full copyright ownership of their original stories, poems, essays, and creative works. By submitting work to Writers Pouch and having it accepted, creators grant us a license to edit, illustrate, format, publish, and distribute the work across our Platform and in our digital ebooks or anthologies.
     

  3. Protection Against Scraping: Automated scraping, data extraction, or harvesting of any literary works, images, or content on Writers Pouch—including for training machine learning or AI models—without our prior written permission is strictly prohibited.

5. Ordering Digital Products
 

  1. Territorial Availability: We currently limit sales of our ebooks and digital products to customers residing in India.
     

  2. Pricing & Modifications: We display prices for our ebooks and compiled anthologies in INR before purchase, and they are subject to change. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any publication at any time.
     

  3. Payment Processing: We process transactions securely through Razorpay. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that payment details and payment method information are processed and retained by Razorpay in accordance with their privacy policy and applicable regulations. Writers Pouch does not store your full card numbers or banking passwords.
     

  4. Digital License, Editions & Volumes: Purchasing an eBook or digital publication grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and access that specific version, edition, or volume purchased for personal, non-commercial use.

  5. Personal Use Only: Downloads are restricted exclusively to the individual purchaser. Reselling, redistributing, emailing, uploading to public drives, or publicly sharing purchased files is strictly prohibited.
     

  6. Prohibition on AI Scraping: Using purchased digital content or publications to train machine learning models or artificial intelligence platforms without our express written consent is strictly prohibited.
     

  7. Editions & Volumes: We periodically publish revised editions (containing proofing corrections) and expanded volumes of our anthologies (containing extra stories or bonus content). Purchases apply strictly to the specific edition or volume ordered; new volumes or expanded editions are separate releases and do not entitle the purchaser to free upgrades or automatic updates.
     

  8. Refunds & Support: For information on returns, cancellations, and refunds, please see our Refund Policy page. If you encounter technical issues with a digital download, please reach out to us at help@writerspouch.com.

6. User Content


If you post comments, feedback, or public responses on our Platform, you are solely responsible for the content you submit.

 

All user submissions must comply with applicable laws and these Terms. You agree not to submit content that:
 

  1. Infringes upon the intellectual property, privacy, or legal rights of others.

  2. Contains defamatory, abusive, unlawful, or harmful material.

  3. Contains spam, unauthorised solicitations, or malicious code.


By posting content on the Platform, you grant Writers Pouch the right to host, display, and retain that content in connection with operating the site. We reserve the right to edit, decline, or remove any user-submitted content at our discretion and without prior notice.

Our Platform integrates with and provides links to external websites, platforms, and services operated by third parties. This includes:
 

  1. Razorpay for payment and checkout processing.

  2. YouTube for hosted short films and video content.

  3. Spotify for audio stories.

  4. Substack for podcasts and email newsletters.

  5. Weebly for hosted blog posts and web pages.
     

Writers Pouch does not control, monitor, or assume liability for the content, uptime, terms, or privacy practices of these third-party platforms. Your interactions with any third-party service are governed solely by that provider’s respective terms and policies. We recommend reviewing the terms and privacy policies of any third-party platform before engaging with their content or providing them with data.

We are committed to data minimisation and do not require user accounts or collect personal information to browse or read content on our Platform.

 

Standard web server logs may automatically collect technical identifiers, such as IP addresses, for security, fraud prevention, and performance monitoring. 10. Disclaimers & Limitations

  1. Service & Digital Product Disclaimer: The Platform, its content, ebooks, and digital products are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Writers Pouch does not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or completely error-free.
     

  2. Corrupted or Defective Files: If a purchased ebook or digital product is delivered in a corrupted, damaged, or unreadable format, your sole remedy—and our sole responsibility—shall be limited to replacing the defective digital file upon notice from you.
     

  3. Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Writers Pouch and its team, editors, reviewers, visualizers, and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform, digital files, or third-party links. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of data, loss of profits, system outages, device incompatibility, or business interruption.

11. Indemnification, Termination & Changes

Indemnification: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Writers Pouch, its founders, team members, editors, reviewers, and visualizers from any third-party claims, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or infringement of any third-party rights.
     

  2. Termination & Changes: We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the Platform with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes. We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Platform for any user who violates these Terms.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

 

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. In the event of any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform, you agree first to contact us at help@writerspouch.com to attempt an informal resolution. If unresolved, any legal action, arbitration, or dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Visakhapatnam District Court, Andhra Pradesh, India.

13. General Provisions

  1. Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
     

  2. Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Writers Pouch regarding your use of the Platform, superseding any prior written or oral agreements.
     

  3. Force Majeure: Writers Pouch shall not be held liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under these Terms caused by events outside our reasonable control, including server failures, third-party network disruptions, cyberattacks, natural disasters, or payment processor downtime.​
